FAQs : Registration and Installation
How do I register my software?
Single users: During the installation you will be directed to contact the FrameWork team to register your details. You will need to do this to complete the installation of your software and receive your release key file.
Network users: A member of the Framework team will take all the details you need to register your software when you purchase the package.
How do I install the software?
Single users: After requesting a trial or purchasing the software, you will recieve an installation disk. You will be able to install the software on your own computer by following the instructions on screen. You will be prompted to contact the FrameWork team to confirm your details and program-ID. On receiving this the FrameWork team will send a release key file via e-mail, which will unlock and complete the installation of the software.
Networked users: Installation will be completed by a member of the FrameWork technical team. In most cases this will be completed on site as access to the internal IT system, servers and key named contacts will be needed. Where appropriate access is granted it may be possible to install the network software remotely. More detailed information about this process can be given by arranging a free consultation with the Framework team. Call us on 020 7549 9562.
We require you to submit your details during installation. However, if your details change you can update us by e-mailing framework@natcen.ac.uk (ensuring you include your Program-ID).
Your licensed software will automatically prompt you to check and re-submit your details every 12 months. This is so we can ensure our records are correct and to make sure we can keep you informed of all the latest FrameWork news, offers, training and downloads.
Your Program-ID is a unique code which is produced by the software program. This can be found in the program in the ‘Help’ menu under ‘About’. Your Program-ID is required to complete your installation, should be referenced in any other support related communications with the FrameWork team and used to log-on to the User Support page on this website.
The release key file is the file sent by the FrameWork team which ultimately completes your installation.
The release key file will ‘unlock’ your software for the duration of your licence e.g. 30-days, 12-months etc. Each release key file is unique and will only work with the installation from where the Program-ID has been generated. These files cannot be re-used.
