FrameWork from NatCen

About NatCen

The National Centre for Social Research - NatCen for short - is a not-for-profit company that aims to create a better informed society through high-quality social research.

What we do

We are the UK's leading centre for qualitative research on social issues and have an international reputation for high-quality social surveys.

NatCen conducts research on behalf of government departments, agencies, local authorities, universities, research councils and other charitable trusts. Find out more on the NatCen website.

Almost every project has a direct, practical application in terms of understanding social behaviour and informing policy. Some of our most important research includes:

  • British Social Attitudes
  • Health Survey for England
  • English Longitudinal Study of Ageing

Why we developed FrameWork

We created FrameWork as part of our commitment to high-quality qualitative research. We – and many others in applied social policy research - use it to analyse and interpret all our qualitative data because of the richness and depth it brings.
