Introduction to FrameWork
1 day course - £250
This course equips participants to use the new FrameWork software. A series of practical demonstrations and exercises will take you through the process of using the software for data management, from project setup to the production of matrix displays of managed data.
The training team includes key members of the software development team from the Qualitative Research Unit at the National Centre for Social Research.
Course content:
- Overview of different approaches to qualitative data management
- Terminology used within FrameWork approach and in the software
- Logging on, creating a new project and importing data
- Principles behind creating analytic framework
- Creating and editing analytical frameworks
- Indexing and coding transcripts
- Creating and editing data summaries
- Appling data unit references
- Creating charts populated with summaries
- Retrieving coded data
- Undertaking text and thematic pattern searches
All participants will receive a course resource folder and a free 30-day trial version of the software to take away with them.
