Exciting news about Framework

Fw2nvivo

On 27 September 2011, we were delighted to announce the release of an update to NVivo 9 (called NVivo 9.2) which includes new functionality to support the Framework method. Through this partnership NatCen and QSR are ensuring that the Framework method for qualitative data analysis can continue to develop and keep pace with the very latest technology. This means researchers can apply the Framework method© including the ability to work with summarised data and create matrix outputs in NVivo 9. It also gives you access to a range of other features enjoyed by existing NVivo users to help you get more out of your research. We’re really excited by this arrangement with QSR as it ensures that Framework can continue to develop as a method and keep pace with the very latest technology.

Working within NVivo's user friendly interface will provide researchers with exciting opportunities to apply the Framework approach to non-textual data such as images and audio-visual data. Data files can also be exported from FrameWork into NVivo.

Now that the functionality previously available in FrameWork has been incorporated into NVivo 9, we have withdrawn the FrameWork software from the market and it will no longer be available to purchase. The new functionality will be made available to existing NVivo 9 users as a free update which can be easily downloaded from the QSR website. Existing FrameWork software users are being sent information on how they can transition to NVivo 9 - including an exclusive upgrade offer at a significantly discounted price. There is also information on support and training to assist with moving to NVivo 9.
